Electricity markets, energy policy, and grad-school musings — not necessarily in this order.
I’m a fourth-year Ph.D. student at the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Cornell University, Ithaca NY. I am lucky to be advised by and work with Prof. Jacob Mays on a host of topics that fall broadly into the area of Electricity Market design.
In the fall of 2023, I interned at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, in Golden, CO, where I was fortunate to work alongside some truly remarkable people. From that time on, I have been privileged to continue working with José D. Lara and Rodrigo Henriquez-Auba.
I got my B.Sc. in Environmental and Water Resources Engineering from the Universidade Federal Fluminense, in Niterói, RJ, Brazil, in 2013. Before coming to Cornell, I worked at CEPEL maintaining and developing GEVAZP, an energy and streamflow scenario generator.
